WampServer

Everytime I start Apache through WAPM, CPU use pegs immediately to 100%. Close it down, drops to near zero. I'm not running any traffic at all, as far as I know, and the system is fairly clean. I don't think it's a problem with WAMP, because I have problems with other packages as well. Any ideas where to start looking for the cause of this problem?
