FTP To My Localhost...

I have no tried to FTP my local host that is up and running through my recently installed version of wamp. I have made no modifications, the first thing I tried to do was ftp to it. I tried flashfxp and smartftp. Both refuse the connection, saying something like "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it".

Is wamp blocking the ftp connection? Thanks.

WAMP as far as i know does not provide you with an FTP server, this you will have to find and install yourself. to modify files or to place files on your server you can do it directly to the www directory that you specified when you installed it. if you are attempting to modify your site remotly then you will need an FTP server i.e. BFTP Server, although am sure there are pleanty to search from.

there is no reason to have a ftp server for wamp. just put all your website files in the c:\wamp\www folder.
