WampServer

When i try to start Wamp it seems like the Apache service wont startup. When i try to put my server online/offline, i get this message;

Could not execute menu item (internal error)
[Exception] Could not perform service action; Sevice has not been started.

When i test Port 80 it says that port 80 is used by Microsoft-IIS/5.1.
How do i solve this problem?

Do you have any work w/ iis? If not, just disable it in Add/Remove Windows Components by uncheck "Internet Information Services (IIS)", then restart wamp. If still fail, reinstall wamp should solve the problem.

phpMyAdmin 2.10.0.2

iis is a webserver like apache. it uses the same port as apache (port 80). if that port is being used by another program, apache will not start.

Well, ive already disabled it and restarted Wamp. Still no difference.

Did you restart your computer after disable iis? And as mentioned it it still fails, you need to re-install wamp

Now its working. Needed to add and then disable iis again, and then restart the computer. Thanks for the fast help.

yeah, you need to edit the services setting for iis to set it to not start automatically when you start your computer.
