Need help setting up virtual servers.

I use wamp5 for hosting my websites on my machines here at home. I use two towers. One site on each machine. My old tower is a slower machine. With my newer machine I want to host a few websites on it, instead of just the one.

Here are the links to my two sites.

[www.firestaramusements.com] <~~~old machine.

[www.freetoforum.com] <~~~~new machine.

If someobdy could even point me to a website that has a step by step on how to setup virtual servers, that would be great. I just want to read some stuff to so I don't kill my servers hehe.

Hey admin, sorry for posting my links. If they are not allowed, can you delete my post?
Thanks guys! Always great help here.

(I hope yfastud replies, hehe) <~~~always awesome help!

wamp was designed and developed to be a testing and development server, not for a production envornment. to see how unsecure wamp is, check out the post i made here:

[forum.wampserver.com]

if you really think you need to host a website with wamp, then search this forum for virtual host, virtual hosting, vhost, and dynamic dns, as this topic has been posted many times before.

Hey, what's up, Jason, buddy?

To setup vh completely, it's more than just talks but involving domain, dns, and vh; even though you've already have domains, you should know how to setup so your domains can work w/ new server (ie. server at your house), so email me your domain service, dns, so on

yfastud at yahoo dot com

Remember, DO NOT send username, password, or any of your personal information but only general info so I can gather needed info for you. For example, my domain service is Yahoo Business, and dns is zoneedit.com, so on; then I will email you back the instructions.

In worst case, I mean if you still fail, I might help to setup for you just like I helped techno_man the other day.

virtual host is totally different than virtual machines. virtual host is an apache setting that allows admin's to setup apache to host multiple domains on one machine without having to install multiple copies of apache for each domain name. virtual machines allows you to run multiple OS's on one machine.

I prefer everydns.net. but, if you are a newbie i would recommend zoneedit.com because everydns.net does not have any kind of documentation or tutorials on how to setup dynamic dns.
