Wamp installed flawlessly on my home machine, but of course the IT people at work have tricked things up so I cant get localhost to show index.php or phpMyadmin.

Any config changes I can make to get up and running?

Nicely ask IT to grant you permission; w/o it you can't run this wamp package

Have fun,

Win Vista Business
Apache 2.2.4
MySQL 5.2.3 F-A
PHP 5.2.1
SSL 0.9.8D

phpMyAdmin 2.10.0.2

Why do you need to run a web server from work. Just wondering.

Your Boss! hehe

Dear Boss,

I am working very hard in my cube, please don’t bother me again. In fact, I'm going to have to ask you to come back later when I'm not so busy!

I was trying to do some development/testing on my work machine. I don't think the IT folks would look kindly on my clandestine dynamic web development research.

Quick question: is there a hard drive in your machine at work or not? If yes, just ask IT to grant permission for you. If not, forget it, your machine is just a terminal that connects straight to the server and no way they would grant permission to you.

Hey,

I thought I had the same problem, but apparently it was because at work i'm working on the Windows 2000 operating system. If that's the case, go to the forum topic You don't have permission, you will find how to solve the problem

Cheers
