MYSQL Administrator Log in Error

I just installed WAMP and I've been trying to set up a password. I followed this thread for directions.
[forum.wampserver.com]

In the directions it says to set password in config.inc.php in /wamp/phpmyadmin
The only config.inc.php file I could find is the one that says "Do Not Edit!" I can't seem to find another one with that name.

When I try to log into MYSQL Administrator I get this error:

"Either the server service or the configuration file could not be found. Startup variables and service section are therefore disabled."

Any ideas what this means?

Thanks in advance for any help!

That warning words is for some1 not sure what to do, but if you know what to do, just go ahead to edit it as instructed in my old post, and for the error you've got , make sure you have these line in your my.ini in wamp/mysql folder

[mysqld]
port=3306

Remember to restart your server to take effect

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
I can't seem to find the my.ini file in my wamp/mysql folder. I have a Configurations file that opens with Notebook that is named "my". Is that it?

Thanks

My best guess, it's the one, but to make sure, just turn extension on. To see extension, go to My Computer, then Tools, then Folder Options, then View, then uncheck "Hide extension for known file types"
