to setup wamp5 to use your ip address is a very easy process. you just need to put your server online mode.

left click on the wamp tray icon -> put online (located at the very bottom of the menu)

make sure you have set port forwarding for your router. if you dont know how, search this from for port forwarding or search google.

if you happen to be trying to setup wamp in a network, i have just added a section to my manual detailing how to install wamp on a network.

no, to use cookies you need to code them into your php application.

If you're succeeded to install it like mine, it should look like this, and it doesn't really need cookies at all.

thanks

i have read it actualy i read it last week as well, exellent, i could not get into the phpmyadmin, when i tried it gave me the above error message, so i have tried most things and a reinstall, then i looked up my ip address on my network and it had changed from xxxxxx 02 to xxxxxx03, i assume that is because when i shut my machine down my son started his up and he got 02 how could i fix that so that the machines always had the same ip that they start with keep it fixed.

many thanks

Firtly, turn off all other computers, set static ip for your computer with the lowest number if possible, then in your router, setup to reserve that ip for your particular computer, then restart all computers and router to take effect
