MySQL not starting on Vista

I earlier this month bought a new computer with Vista Premium on it, and installed the WAMP server on it. It worked fine until reboot, now MySQL is continuously crashing, and reporting that port 3306 could be in use... which it isn't as far as I can tell... and none of the previous answers with regards to MySQL have solved the problem.

I'm having wamp 1.7.0 w/ all add-on except perl on both Vista Premium come w/ new laptop and Vista Business, which I've got free from M$, installed on desktop, and so far I don't have any problem at all, I've even already upgraded mysql to 5.2.3-falcon-alpha and phpmyadmin to 2.10.0.2; so check this post to see if it MIGHT help to eliminate the problem even the initially issue from the original poster is completely different.

Edit: I didn't encounter the problem as you did, so don't blame me if it doesn't work out for you.
