Oh cool! A light at the end of the tunnel.

I don't think I use NOD32. What is the process and service name for that?

As far as I know, McAfee Virus Scan 4.1.40 and Guardian are the only anti virus programs running and I've tried shutting both these down.

What is NETSTAT? Is that in the WAMP suite?
Thanks for the reply. Hopefully it's something similar for me and I'll figure it out soon. I'm not really security, web server and antivirus savy.

Thanks

Netstat is a DOS command -- run at the command prompt (NETSTAT -AO) : Allows you to see what ports are being listened to. Not too savy on this stuff either. If not nod32, ya, perhaps something similar -- Does McAffee have some type of Internet Monitor? That was the portion of NOD32 causing issues. Since you had the same type of message as I did reported from Apache, about Port 80, i would think its something with Internet monitoring/blocking.

Another thread, these guys had problems with 1.07 and an issue with Apache in the latest build. Causes similar issues (no localhost).

McAfee Virus Scan 4.1.40 and Guardian?!?!?!

Sound very old if I'm not wrong. If you're in US, go to Staples now and pick up McAfee's Internet Security Suite 2007 which is FREE after rebate, and here a little description:

McAfee's Internet Security Suite 2007 is what the vendor calls its "eight products in one" application. Included are antivirus, antispyware, antispam, antiphishing, firewall protection, PC performance enhancement, and parental controls.

Have fun

That was it guys and gals. As soon as I unistalled McAfee Anti Virus software, WAMP worked. Sjutting down all it's services before didn't stop WAMP from being blocked.

I went out and bought Virus Scan Plus 2007, installed that. When it sensed WAMP, it gave me a choice to allow it or block it. I allowed it and it works with the Anti Virus software.

LET THIS BE A LESSON TO ALL YOU!!!

Thank you to yfastud and especially redundant for putting me on the right track. And thanks to the Academy. You like me, you really, really like me.

That's the point!

If you read back from my early first post, I've already remind you guy about Antivirus+firewall and Internet Optimizer; turn out you have problem w/ Antivirus+Firewall and redundant has problem w/ Internet Optimizer (IMON).

From incident in this thread, I've just made a new post about Port enable.

Have fun

Yes I get it, but the port was enabled in my software, and you would think if you close the anti virus programs and stop all their services, that it would stop blocking Apache, but it doesn't.

That is the confusing part.
