The link to phpmyadmin from wamp crashes the XP

HI,
I installed WAMP5 1.7.0 with Apache 2.2.4 and PHP 5.2.1 and so far managed to get the php and apache working properly. While accessing the phpMyAdmin or SqlLiteManager my XP box is crashing. What log file would contain additional information? The event explorer does not contain much information to debuug the issue.
