Tray icon, check to seeif all services are running is good, if only one is no good. If only one, check error log of the one that has square symbol in front.

You have to create mysql db, and here is a very good tutor from cyber's

However, first thing first, for your own protection, you need to setup password for "root"

Check my old post here for the idea

I downloaded a tool called Navicat MySQL from www.ddl2.com
I was able to create a MySQL database without breaking a sweat, and got my installation of Oscommerce to work with the database

I tried SQLitemanager which come with Wamp but only manage to get mad.

Here the download link for Navicat [www.ddl2.com]

To gtiserge, Wamp already comes w/ phpMyAdmin which is good enough for both newbie and advanced

To gr38ic, here is example to create db

Username: forum
Database: forum
Password: **** (replace w/ your real pass)

To setup phpbb:

DSN: localhost
Data base name: forum
Data base username: forum
Database password: **** (replace w/ same pass as above)
Prefix for table in database: db_ (or just accept default if any)
