Run two forums on same server?

Yo all, I am running two phpbb2 forums on the same server. Both are running great and working also, both are on different databases. Running two different websites on same server. The only problem is when I try to log into the adminstration on one of the forums, it will not log on and then show the "The page cannot be found" error page. On the other hand, I can log into the admin with no problems on the other forum. Any ideas?

Jason

Check my signature, I'm having more than 2 forums + cms, and so far I don't have any problem w/ any of them, so I think you might have a little problem w/ your setup. Through phpmyadmin, don't log in as root but as one particular forum super admin and tell me how many database you see in there? Then log out and log back in w/ the other and check the same. If you setup right, you should see only 1 at a time except db for character set.

Have fun

Remember I have only been learning server crap for about 3 months so far, hehe. I have 6 databases in total. Which is wierd cause I only made two of them...data1 and data2. I run the phpbb2 forums on data1 and data2. Each forum on a different database.

I notice when I log into one forum then just close it, and then goto the other forum and try to sign in..........it will display "cannot find page" error page. Then I click back in my IE browser, then it says I am logged in? Strange hey. Should I get rid of the other databases? Or just leave them. As far as I know I am only using data1 and data2. Inform me if I am wrong, hehe. Thanks for the help guys! Greatly appreciated! These are my databases below.

data1
data2
information_schema
mysql
phpmyadmin
test

Oh yeah, just for the record I am using wamp5 and phpbb2 for my forums. I tried the phpbb3 but liked the phpbb2 way better.

You can delete "test" but you need all the rest. BTW, when you setup super admin for both forums, do you happen to use the same username and password?

K test is deleted and yes I used the same username and pass for both forums. I take it this might be screwing it up? Thanks for the help. Maybe I will try a do over with the forum i can't login to admin on. Will see if it works and then post my results.

Better redo for both because they've already screwed up.

Hey yfastud, I checked out all your testing servers and pictures and stuff. Looks good man. What do you use for an ftp server, like which program. I am gonna run an ftp server again but not sure which program to use. I think I used cute ftp before, but I didn't like it to much. Thanks man.

Cute ftp is good but not free, and not sure new version has remote control feature yet while Cerberus FTP Server is free and has remote control feature. And if you setup right, you can use it to limit storage for each web account.

We in the testing process, so every thing is either free or dust cheap so we can afford it. For example:

Primary server is HP m7250n for $470
Secondary server is Cisnet 108M for $130
Backup server is a free old Compaq, actually picking up from garbage
32' HD LCD for $350 (on clearance and no hd tuner, and not really need that big LCD TV but it's so cheap... so we put everything in living room as seen in the link below)
Domain name is $15/5yrs ($3/yr)
All software even ssl cert is free.

To funny, before you posted this, I went and installed Cerberus FTP Server. Works great, super easy to use as well. Cute ftp is not free but that doesn't mean you still can't get it for free. winking smiley
