Localhost is not working

I have firefox and IE both on WindowsXP Service Pack 2
I had installed WAMP 1.6.6
Then I try localhost, phpMyAdmin and SQLlite, but no program is running. Wamp tray icon shows that "All services are running - server online", but no response from any browser. After some time firefox gives "timeout" and IE continous shows Inprogress.
Please solve my problem.

Additionally I am seeing two images named Apache on Windows Task Manage, one is taking more than 90% resources of my box (I have installed it on my Pantium 4 2.66 Ghz, 512 MB RAM Laptop). If I try to kill that process, it doesn't killed. And if i try to kill Apache Image with less resources, it killed and with it Apache Service got stopped on Wamp.

Please help me on this.

Apache has 2 services running is normal. Did you enable port 80 in firewalls and router yet?
