ok, so I have my site - now what?

I read that Wampserver is not for production purposes...

However, I have set up my site, and it seems to run perfectly - has done so for several months now, Is there any reason I should not just continue running my site from my wampserver setup? (I am not asking Wampserver to take on any liability here, just wondering if I am totally off the mark using Wampserver on a live site).

If I cant use Wampserver for my site, what should I do now then?

Should I install all the components separately, or do I need to find a completely different way of publishing my stuff? (I always thought Apachce had sufficient security, but after reading some posts here about not using Wampserver for production, I am suddenly very unsure...)

You're not the only one, but A LOT people have live sites using wampserver.

Wampserver is for developers; therefore, it doesn't come w/ any security for production and it's hard to see if your sites are only b/w friends or just for yourself to test features before putting it on live hosting sites; however, if you're using wampserver for business and have a lot of customers and traffic, also spy bots from hackers and spammers will coming, too; then, at that time, you will see. He... he... ;-) even I don't have business yet, but because of a lot of traffic to my sites, I've already got a lot of spy bots coming, too. When you don't have business, nothing to lose except time if system crash, right?

But, perhaps if we got into the specifics, we could identify the major security threats and deal with those?

I mean, if there are three or four obvious vulnerabilities, why dont we make a list and describe the necessary actions required to close those openings for good?

Anyone have input for starting such a list ?
