This is not in the FAQ, i just used the uninstaller which came with xampp but this isnt the problem because apache was still running at 100% even when only 1 person was on my website. WIth zamp i have the same problem. I am watching the CPU and everytime i click on a link on my site the cpu goes to 100% and then goes back down.

Is it old or new style Celeron? Old means it's actual Celeron. The one is called Celeron nowadays is actually Pentium 3, I think you're already know that.

Anyway, seem I can't help since I've never seen that problem because I have more than 1 computer: the main one is P4 dual core 3.2GHz w/ 4Gb 533 DDR2 and 500GB hd, the backup one is CeleronM 3.06GHz w/ 2GB 400 DDR and 500GB hd, and I also have 2 backup network hd 250GB each. Even my whole group, more than 10 peoples stay in different states/countries, is working the same time still have no problem at all.

What do you think i should do?

I have a celeron 2.4 and 1gb ram but still the CPU shouldnt spike to 100% everytime i click a link on my site. That cant be normal. My site is only a forum.

Are you use it for server only or anything else? Even when I install it on my friend's laptop, an old p3 900 w/ only 256mb ram, it still runs w/o any problem, so my suggestion is here:

Hope this help

Hi Bidybag, have you double-checked your code to make sure there is no recursions? If something loops repeatedly, that would definitely spike the CPU. Maybe Apache is looping somewhere, then after a preset "failure" period, it stops trying. Just an idea, I do not know this for a fact.

Regards,
Mark
