WampServer

I know WAMP is NOT a production server but I would like to at least be able to access my WAMP server over my VPN. The VPN does not allow name translation (I worked that much out) and I'm not worried about that but i surely should be able to open the WAMP website by local (over VPN) IP address.

I can connect to my PC by using 'run to' over the VPN or by using a VNC type application but although my PC is on the same network (by VPN) as my WAMP server (as indicated by the ability to 'run to' etc). I cannot browse using IE, Firefox or Opera to my WAMP server.

Is this a known issue with an easy remedy, am I trying to do the impossible, has no one else ever tried to do this or am I missing something extremely simple?
