WampServer

I've searched all over for this but I cant find an answer. I cant access localhost, not even 127.0.0.1, but only when I enable namevirtualhosts in my httpd.conf. I can access all my sites using their URLs, but not localhost. Because of this I cant get to phpmyadmin. Its not that big of a deal, but I would like it all to work as it is. Is it something with apache? can I just not have name based virtual hosts and a localhost?
