Hi,
I'm using wamp5 for a while, and had never much problems with it, but since a few days, Internet Explorer takes 100% of the cpu when opening Localhost, and nothing happens....
I'm using Wamp5 1.6.4
Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem?

Axel

A similar symptom occurred with an associate of mine. After much on-call support with Microsoft and Norton, we found that the Norton firewall was proxying IE requests and causing 100% CPU usage at start up.

I hope that helps.

I think it can be such a problem with a firewall, but when I turn the firewall off, I got still this problem. When I reinstall Wampserver, the same problem appears. this morning I upgraded from 1.6.4a to 1.6.5, and I still got the same problem, so I don't think the problem is the webserver configuration...

if you have windows xp with service pack 2 installed, then you have windows firewall. make sure if you have that program running you enable apache and mysql with it.
