WampServer

I'm trying to find older versions of WAMP with PHP4. I'm using PHP-Nuke on my website and I'm having tons of problems with adding new modules and blocks because they are written for php4, not php5 and most won't work properly.

I'm not that experienced in dealing with php coding and I don't have the time to try and correct the errors manually. I just want to return to PHP4 so I can resolve the problems and get my modules and blocks working again.

The sourceforge website doesn't offer WAMP 1.6.0 with PHP4 for download that I'm looking for.

just download and install the wamp php 4 add-on. once installed, use the wamp tray icon menu to switch wamp to php4 mode and you will be using php 4 now.

I've tried that option, it doesn't work.

I'm using Nuke 7.9 and each time I switch to PHP4, my website crashes and I get a notice that there is a problem with the mySQL server. When I try to use phpmyadmin, I am being denied access to mysql because of improper authentication. So, I switch back to php5 and everything comes back up and working like normal.

I can't explain it, nor do I understand it. It is just frustrating.

Should it be locking me out of phpmyadmin?

I did that, and it is now letting me access phpmyadmin, however, now I am getting messages from windows saying .... Apache.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.

Apache then closes, restarts and the next time there is activity on the site, it crashes again.

It just keeps going on and on until I either shut down the server or bring php5.1 back online.

apache stores the newest entries in the error log in the bottom of the log file, not the top. please post the last 15 lines of your error log.

That is what I posted, I edited out the times, but if you want to see a complete record of the errors that occured when I switched from php5.1 to php4.4, here they are.....
