Flash Drive

So I am very new to Apache and Wamp but like it so far. However, I am trying to run it from a flash drive. I loaded it on my home PC but am working with it at work. I was able to get Apache running but am having trouble with MySQL.

1. The documentation says I should have a mywamp.ini file in c:\windows. Is this file on my home PC? And can I just copy it to another PC when I plug in my flash drive?

2. Anybody else had experience running WAMP from a flash drive? I did figure out I needed to disable IIS on PC in order for Apache to work.

Thanks, MichaelS

look at this : [www.uni-d.net]
----------------

Thanks,
I'm afraid I don't read French. I found another application that seems to do what I need. It's called PortableWebAp.

Use free web translation, and actually you don't need to read it, just download and use it.

Good: include all Apache, MySQL, MySQLite, php5, phpMyAdmin, so on.
Bad: almost 512MB, a little heavy for usb stick.

PortableWebAp is good but only have php, and if you need MySQL, you have to get PortableDB, yet still not include Apache though.

Good: light weight, just about 5MB or 10MB if include mySQL.
Bad: not enough applications for web server.

Anyway, be it your way.

Have fun.
