changing default timezone

hi ,
i have a problem regarding using dates in php in wamp server. I am in India. Wheneever i wants to display the date and time in php it shows the date & time in UTO timezone which is 5.30 hrs before from my timezone. So how can i change the timezone to my country timezone.
