WampServer

The control function (the "green W" stops after a few hours. It shows fine, but I can not click it anymore. The webserver works!

When I want to change anything, I need the control function. So if I want to restart, I use

c:wamp64restart_wampserver.bat

But this hangs forever, so I have to reboot. After reboot, everything is okay again for a few hours.

I checked the VC++

I ahve Wampserver update 3.3.1

Right-Click Restart from zero

Right-click also does not work anymore if it stops working.

Dooble-Click on Wampserver icon on the desktop.

Please, explain what exactly the problem is !

No click, double click, right-click. It gets the click but does not do anything.


c:wamp64restart_wampserver.bat does not work; it just waits forever.


Apache works fine, but I need the W to work if I want to change the setup.

To make it work again, I have to reboot the computer. After reboot, everything is okay again for a few hours. But I always need to reboot, and it takes a long time.

How can I restart without reboot?

- Verify that all VC ++ packages are installed and with the latest versions.
To do this, use the tool:
Checks VC++ packages installed
Do not use a previously loaded tool. Make a new download to make sure you are using the correct version.
To download missing packages, do not rely on Microsoft links, they are not reliable, download packages on http://wampserver.aviatechno.net in section Visual C++ Redistribuable Packages
Do not forget that if you have a 64 bit Windows, you must install both 32 and 64 bit versions of each package.
You must install each package "as an administrator", so right-click the exe file and then run as Administrator.

It is possible to restart Wampserver without restarting Windows.

- Task Manager: End task for AeTrayMenu, then double-click the Wampserver icon on the desktop.

Killing in the Taskmanager works, but it still takes a long time to restart.
