Hi,

HTTPS mode support for Wampserver 3.3.2 is 80% from a July 14, 2020 contribution:
How to activate https SSL in Wampserver

Except that with Wampserver 3.3.2 it will only take two mouse clicks to switch an existing VirtualHost to https.

The first click to change the "Wamperser ready to support https" setting from off to on
And once you've done that, you'll need just one click to switch any existing VirtualHost to https mode.

The second click to switch an existing VirtualHost to https mode.

Left-click -> Your VirtualHosts -> Convert VirtualHost to https mode -> choose the VirtualHost to convert.

Of course, if you had previously made your own modifications to manage https mode, this won't work.

for those already who have a https host,do we need to enable anything else?
i use certifytheweb tool to get trusted ssl certificates for my virtualhost
it is a neat idea that will make things simpler for peoppe, but for those who already have https setup,is any additional steps needed to stay on https?

Nothing to do and do nothing.
Leave the Wamp parameter "Wampserver ready to support https" off and don't try to switch it on.

The only corollary is that VirtualHosts that are already https may not appear as such in the VirtualHost menus.

There will be a parameter in wampmanager.conf, not accessible via menu, which can be manually set to off to make the new https option inaccessible.

Hi,

In the wampserver update 3.3.2 installer there is a message box :

This update installs "Wampserver HTTPS SSL support"

If you already have HTTPS support and to avoid any harmful interaction with "Wampserver HTTPS SSL mode", it is preferable to hide the possibility of installing "Wampserver HTTPS SSL support"

Answering Yes only hides it temporarily. You can always unmask later.

Do you want to hide "Wampserver HTTPS SSL support"?

It is hoped that the number of preset addons (php/mysql/mariadb) versions can be reduced. Reduce the size of the wampserver installation program.

After installing, you can delete the installer! What's the problem?

Because the file is too large, it takes a long time to download. Yes, in 2023, there will still be a lot of download speeds around 300kb/s. I often help others install wampserver, and it often takes a lot of time to download.

Full installer with the choice between MySQL 5.7.43 or 8.0.34 or 8.1.0 and between MariaDB 10.10.6 or 10.11.5 or 11.0.3 or 11.1.2 is 740 MB

Full installer with MySQL 8.1.0 and MariaDB 11.1.2 (No choice) is 317 MB

OK, it's worth it, and what's more, it makes my job a lot easier and much faster to compile!
