WampServer

Hello... have been using older versions of WAMP successfully for years. After a few months not using it, decided to download the latest version in a new folder to stay up to date. Will not install.

Error message"

wamp configuration file contains a syntax error on line 47: [eparseerror] missing closing quote on parameter "prompttext"

You did not read the prerequisites displayed just before the installation actually started, so you did not check or apply them.

Note : All executable launches must be done "as administrator".

- 1 - Uninstall Wampserver completely.

- 2 - Verify that all VC ++ packages are installed and with the latest versions.
To do this, use the tool:
Checks VC++ packages installed
Do not use a previously loaded tool. Make a new download to make sure you are using the correct version.[/u)
To download missing packages, do not rely on Microsoft links, they are not reliable, download packages on http://wampserver.aviatechno.net in section Visual C++ Redistribuable Packages
Do not forget that if you have a 64 bit Windows, you must install both 32 and 64 bit versions of each package.
You must install each package "as an administrator", so right-click the exe file and then run as Administrator.

- 3 - Install Wampserver 3.2.6

- 4 - Launch Wampserver to verify correct installation

- 5 - Exit Wampserver

- 6 - Apply Update 3.2.7 to your version of Wampserver
