I'd like to run a cronjob on wampserver but I have no idea how to do this. I'm assuming I need some extra software. Can anyone give me some pointers of how to do this?

cron is only on linux os's. but you can find and download freeware windows programs that try to emulate cron, find them at sourceforge.net

Try TaskShuduler in Windows.
U can start php script as cgi script.
Approximately this way
path/to/php/php.exe sriptname.php
