Hey i just installed wamp server 3.2.
It installs both mariaDB and mysql..

i thought no one used mysql for some years now and everyone converted to maria. What is the point of having two databases installed and running on a host? I dont get why even when i select custom install, i cant uninstall mysql.

So do i have to use mysql now? i guess so because its the default DB by the looks of it, running on 3306. Just strange you wouldnt give people the option.

ah ok this is all covered in the text file mariadb_mysql.txt..

NO idea why it set up this way though. why not just make it a choice on the installer?

Be a little curious isn't it!
Left-Click -> Help MariaDB-MySQL
