I have installed wamp on win xp. The problem is when I write a script and want to post data to the database, it behaves as if it is downloading and when you click open it opens my php file instead of sending the data to the database.

If you had done a simple search, you would have seen this same question posted many times.

make sure you files are in your www directory. Also make sure you access them using your webbrowser with this address:
[localhost]
