WampServer

Hello,
We just performed a clean install of the latest WAMP 2.5 (downloaded and installed yesterday) on Windows Server 2012 R2 standard (64-bit) (clean OS installation).
We installed without any problems and the out-of-the-box installation works great and speedy, EXCEPT that the Windows application log periodically keeps giving this error:

The application log keeps repeating this error every second for up to 10 minutes.
Apache instantly restarts itself, our websites appear to be up but do give errors every now and then when a visitor loads a page at exactly the time of the crash.

Apache runs about 60 vhosts which all use PHP and MySQL. The load on each website is relatively small.
We haven't changed any settings in Apache, PHP or MySQL except for some basic stuff (short php tags etc.)

We had this exact same problem on our previous server with Apache 2.4.

Did you install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 runtime Downloadable form here

Apache needs that to run.

Yes, we installed that prior to installing WAMP. Apache runs fine except for the crashes which occur a number of times each day (every time for 5 to 10 minutes, crashes every second).

OK did you install the 32bit or 64bit WAMPServer?

We installed the 64-bit version.

All I can suggest is that you try the 32bit version.

Afterall 64bit PHP is still considered Experimental. The 64bit versions of WAMPServer are really for the geeks rather than the day to day user.

I have exact same error on my Win 12 R2 server. Did it help by installing on 32 bit version?
