WampServer

I need help.

I am new to this. I am taking a PHP/MySQL course and my WAMP Server icon is orange. I looked up some things on You Tube and that did not work. I do not have any other application running like Skype. (i dont have that)

Can someone please explain in laymens terms how to get the icon back to green?

Please read this post and answer all the questions so we know what you are using. There are also some basic troubleshooting suggestions in there.

If you still cannot solve the problem, post the answers and we will go from there. Please also mention any changes to the basic install you may have left in the system after your trip round google and YouTube.
Beware of youtube, there are lots of people that can create a video, not so many that actually understand WAMPServer/APache/MySQL etc.

I am taking an introduction to PHP and MySQL.
I have been doing very basic exercises. Learning the basics.


1 - Windows version (Windows Version 7 64 bit)
2 - Version WampServer (version 2.5 32bit)
3 - Apache Version 2.4.9
4 - PHP Version5.5.12
5 - MySQL Version 5.6.17
6 - What color is the WampServer icon (in the notification area of the taskbar)
orange

When all goes well it should be green, but it may be red or orange. (It is either red, but mostly orange)

Also, WAMP server icon is not green . . . I looked at the Apache, MySQL, and PHP error log. Honestly, I do not know what I would look for in those logs. I would do a copy and paste but I would rather ask you first.

Also . . . forgot to mention I tried re-installing WAMP too. I do not have Skype and I have not done anything with setting in You Tube even though I do watch it.

Well you had better post some bits here.

Look for the word ERROR or something that looks like it is trying to tell you about a problem.

Both log files contain info that is produced as part of a normal startup, but if in doubt post them all.

(is there a way to include the whole log file?)

Enclosed is an error log line for Apache and PHP I did not see an error log for MySQL Using an educated guess for the PHP logue, I did see this kind of prompt [29-Jan-2015 00:11:55 Europe/Paris] . . . perhaps this should be in the United States because I am here? I don't know. Also, I see a prompt that states:
[27-Jan-2015 17:18:01 UTC] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:/wamp/bin/php/php5.5.12/ext/php_intl.dll' - The specified module could not be found.

well thay all look ok. So I guess you should check the MySQL error log
