WampServer

Ikon (Aestan Tray Menu) is yellow - actually says it is online, but it isn't, as the service is not running.
Trying to set it offline gives an error-message, saying the service is not stared.
Other options - stop all services or start all services or restart - simply does nothing...

Manually trying to start the service, gives a windows error - that the service didn't start, and exited with an error.
Looking up this error in Windows log-files, gives this:

ip address '48.0.relinfo.ru' appears to be invalid

The string '48.0.relinfo.ru' does not appear anywhere in files i /wamp folder (and this incudes www and all files that can be acessed on the server)

Any ideas?

These are all symptoms of Apache not having been started.

Also look at the Windows Event Viewer, If Apache fails it writes errors here before it gets to opening its own log file. These messages may give you more information

FYI:

Events gives same results:
Windows says the the service (wampapache64) can't start because of "wrong function" - its actually in Danish "Forkert funktion" - so it may be called differtly in english - it is M$ after all - something like "unecpected exception"...
And the error reported from apache is

ip address '48.0.relinfo.ru' appears to be invalid

....
Searched all files from within npp (editor) for '48.0.relinfo.ru', and it finds nothing.

Then found that apache actually has its own log within windows, and it told me where the string could be found. Filename and line number.
(It was within my own blocking system).
Removed it and the server is running again....

So problem solved.
Thx again.
(Think I'm going to have to report this to npp - it doesn't search in the file from witch the search is started....)

Hi,

Apache 2.4.9 it is form Wampserver 2.5. This version of Wampserver is obsolete and no longer supported.

Why do not you have not installed Wampserver 3.0.4?
This version includes useful tools to find why "it does not work," even if the tray icon is not green.
