WampServer

I've been using WampServer for the past couple of months or so without any problems (I'm fairly new to PHP/MySQL). Today I tried to start WampServer, double-clicking on the icon, and got a wait symbol for a long time and then a message saying "the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion".

I tried restarting my computer but I still get the same message.

Any idea what may have happened and how I can fix it?

I have Windows 10.

Does the WAMPManager icon get placed in the system tray? And what colour is it?

The WAMPManager icon doesn't get placed in the system tray.

I'm finding now that other programs, like Task Manager, aren't working either, so I'm thinking now that this is probably a Microsoft problem...Maybe need to reinstall a service pack file.
