Windows 7 Connection Troubles

I have some problems with Windows 7.

I can't find out why i cannot connect to server.

What i wanted was a server that i can access over my ip from internet.

what i have done so far:
1. i have almost clean installation of windows 7 64bit.
2. i installed wampserver 64bit and started it
3. i can open welcome site from local host

4. i click "put online", wait a short time till icon get green
5. made sure i have "Listen 80" and "Allow from 127.0.0.1 Allow from ::1 Allow from localhost" in httpd.conf
6. used some external site to make sure that port 80 is open, those sites confirmed the port to be opened only when i run wampserver

7. I FAILED to open welcome page from my ip!

i tryed to change port, turning off firewall, even waiting 15 min before trying to connect.

nothing helps

Maybe someone have any ideas how i could fix it ?

(also i have admin rights on windows and i have installed wamp on seporated from system ssd, so there should be no promissions problem)

Then first it would be a good idea to read this and make the changes it suggests

[forum.wampserver.com]

Your actual problem is probably that these instructions are

1. Apache 2.2 instructions
2. Only giving access to the local PC and not you network

Allow from 127.0.0.1
Allow from ::1
Allow from localhost

You actually need something like this

Require local
Require ip 192.168.0

The first line is equivalent to the 3 above and the second will allow access from any ip on your routers subnet assuming your subnet is 192.168.0

From a command line run
ipconfig

Then look for this line
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.11
Use the first 3 or the 4 quartiles to allow any ip
Use
Require ip 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.2 192.168.0.3
To allow specific ip's to access Apache

RiggsFolly

It didn't work:

DocumentRoot "D:/wamp/www"
<Directory "D:/wamp/www">
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride All
Order Deny, Allow
Deny from all
Require local
Require ip 192.168.2
</Directory>

Also i think this may be usefull:

also i check apache logs, they got no errors.

I am still looking for a solution, any help is welcome!

You could always break the habit of a lifetime and actually read a manual www.apache.org/docs

Change it to this and try again

DocumentRoot "D:/wamp/www"

<Directory "D:/wamp/www">
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
Require local
Require ip 192.168.2
</Directory>

Maybe its tring to use the IPV6 netork addresses. Try adding another Require statement for the IPV6 network

I disabled ip6 in windows and restarted server and internet, it didn't work. still same thing, can only connect to my server over proxy using my ip, directly dosnt work.

i realy need to make it work, i cant do any quality check if i cant access my server like an user. local host isnt enough here.

i changed to allow from all this time, didn't help as well and that my current file

<Directory "D:\htdocs">
#
# Possible values for the Options directive are "None", "All",
# or any combination of:
# Indexes Includes FollowSymLinks SymLinksifOwnerMatch ExecCGI MultiViews
#
# Note that "MultiViews" must be named *explicitly* --- "Options All"
# doesn't give it to you.
#
# The Options directive is both complicated and important. Please see
# [httpd.apache.org]
# for more information.
#
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
#
# AllowOverride controls what directives may be placed in .htaccess files.
# It can be "All", "None", or any combination of the keywords:
# Options FileInfo AuthConfig Limit
#
AllowOverride All
#
# Controls who can get stuff from this server.
#
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>

Are you actually using WAMPServer or a manually installed Apache ????

If you are actually using WAMPServer try testing it without making any changes that are not necessary just to prove it all works.

Then try using different folders to hold your site.

Then you will know that it is one of your changes that has caused a problem and not WAMP itself.

cant be, i have tryed all this already, looks like it may be a problem with my router, maybe firmware wont let me connect to my own ip, that is the only option left.

if you know something else that i can try, i would do that, but right now it seems like i have tryed everything.
