WampServer

I've been running WAMP for like 6 months+ with Skype (also did the Skype port change for the good sake of it) etc - with no problems.

Today I open up WAMP -> get a green icon ->I then add an "alias" to the "alias directory" (already have 10+ other aliases working) -> WAMP restarts and stay on the ORANGE icon :/

- i've installed nothing new on my computer for ages
- I haven't changed any settings for ages
- i've restarted the computer several times
- i've closed down Skype and opened WAMP afterwards

Any ideas?

I checked both MySQL + Apache log, but don't seem to see any errors.

Can you do a ping of yourself i.e. if you are on 129.168.2.100 can you do a

>ping 182.168.2.100

And get a reply with successful pings?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I tried pinging both my external + internal ip: 188.183.134.62 + 192.168.0.12 and both were successfull.

I noticed in my Windows taskbar that the following unresolved issues are pending:

"PHP Script Interpreter has stopped working properly."

I've never clicked down there, so I have no idea if this message only first popped up with my current issue or is unrelated somehow.

I thought it perhaps would help install a "new" version of PHP - so I downloaded PHP 5.3.1 here:

- Been running PHP 5.3.13 so far.

Though still with the orange icon.

Problem solved.

It seemed it was related to the specific alias I added.
The path wasn't 100% correct, so re-checking the alias path manually and editing to the correct path, made apache start up again.
