WampServer

I have installed wampserver3_x86_apache2.4.17_mysql5.7.9_php5.6.15 on pc running windows 8.1 and norton 360. All runs fine provided the pc doesnt reboot, and then it will not start.

I have tried it on 2 different machines and re-installed it at least 10 times and the only way to get it running again is to re-install wampserver.

I installed wampserver - run as administrator (if i forget this it doesnt even start the first time).
I have removed skype and checked that post 80 is free. Message is that port 80 is not used.

I have kept user as root without a password. If I dont do this, if i just close wampserver and start it again, it will not run, but if i leave password blank it will restart provided the PC hasnt been re-started.

wapserver icon remains red.

If left click on wampserver icon, php php.ini -there is no file called php.ini.
get error message:

The file that is opened in text editor is the good one.

A WINDOWS PROBLEM!
Despite setting user as admin, windows didnt do this.
If run as administrator it works.

Hi,

You MUST always be in an administrator session and run Wampmanager as an administrator.
