any ideas? all i keep getting is:
Warning: mssql_connect() [function.mssql-connect]: Unable to connect to server: 127.0.0.1 in C:\wamp\www\GameCP\functions\functions.php on line 234


And ofc everythign else is set up right, eg i can even telnet or run the script on another webhost (hostgator).

Problem is the mssql part not being compatible with sql2008 server.

I CANNOT switch to the newer sqlsrv cuz the script is quite extensive and uses mssql heavily (not just connecting) - would take weeks to recode everything.


also using php that still supports mssql (eg under 5.3).
So why does it keep failing?

maybe mssql isnt listening on 127.0.0.1?
