Then the problem is likely to be the other service... i.e .... MYSQL

Look at the MySQL error log and if that contain nothing look at the Windows Event Viewer for messages from MySQL

Hi Riggs,

Thanks for your response, MySQL error log contain nothing and windows event viewer for MySQL is showing below message.

C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.0\bin\mysqld-nt: ready for connections.
Version: '5.0.22-community-nt' socket: '' port: 3306 MySQL Community Edition (GPL)

For more information, see Help and Support Center at [www.mysql.com].

But here is anothe error in windowa event viewer if it can help please look at this also , this error is under WMI source.

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

some more information : I create a test php file and make mysql connection and try to fetch from test database then it is working fine.

But the Wamp icon won't go green.

Please suggest some more tips.

Thanks in advance.

In that case I assume you have more than one MYSQL Server running on your system. While that can work its not recommended as it adds complexity where none is necessary.

Look in Window services

Windows Key + R
services.exe
Press OK

WAMPServer registers 2 services, wampapache and wampmysqld (64bit = wampapache64 and wampmysqld64)

If you see a service probably called MYSQL running then you have 2 MYSQL's and the other one is probably starting at boot time.

I would recommend uninstalling the other MYSQL, after making any backups of datbases you may want to keep so you can restore then to WAMPServers MySQL Server instance.

A popular candidate for why there are 2 is currently people who have installed MYSQL Workbench. If this is what you did there are 2 versions of Workbench one comes with a MYSQL instance and one without. Once you have uninstalled it, you can install the version without a MYSQL Instance and it will be usable with the WAMPServer database manager.

Hi Riggs,

I have instlled MYSQL SERVER 5.0 , Now i uninstall this and restart my system.

But the Wamp icon won't go green

Beause apache service wampapache64 is started but MYSQL service wampmysqld64 not starting.

Localhost is working but PHPMYADMIN not working getting below error .

#2002 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured).

Please help. i am stuck from a week in this issue.

Also have a look on the MY.INI file :

# Example MySQL config file for medium systems.
#
# This is for a system with little memory (32M - 64M) where MySQL plays
# an important part, or systems up to 128M where MySQL is used together with
# other programs (such as a web server)
#
# You can copy this file to
# /etc/my.cnf to set global options,
# mysql-data-dir/my.cnf to set server-specific options (in this
# installation this directory is C:\mysql\data) or
# ~/.my.cnf to set user-specific options.
#
# In this file, you can use all long options that a program supports.
# If you want to know which options a program supports, run the program

# To configure this host as a replication slave, you can choose between

# 1) Use the CHANGE MASTER TO command (fully described in our manual) -
# the syntax is:
#
# CHANGE MASTER TO MASTER_HOST=<host>, MASTER_PORT=<port>,
# MASTER_USER=<user>, MASTER_PASSWORD=<password> ;
#
# where you replace <host>, <user>, <password> by quoted strings and
# <port> by the master's port number (3306 by default).
#
# Example:
#
# CHANGE MASTER TO MASTER_HOST='127.0.0.1', MASTER_PORT=3306,
# MASTER_USER='root', MASTER_PASSWORD='root';
#
# OR
#
# 2) Set the variables below. However, in case you choose this method, then
# start replication for the first time (even unsuccessfully, for example
# if you mistyped the password in master-password and the slave fails to
# connect), the slave will create a master.info file, and any later
# change in this file to the variables' values below will be ignored and
# overridden by the content of the master.info file, unless you shutdown
# the slave server, delete master.info and restart the slaver server.
# For that reason, you may want to leave the lines below untouched
# (commented) and instead use CHANGE MASTER TO (see above)

All you probably needed to do was

left click wampmanager -> MySQL -> Service -> restart service

But glad you got there.
