I just installed wampserver and I can't get it to run. The icon in the system tray stays orange. I see multiple posts in here referring to the wampmanager, but the only program I see under the wamp installation is to stert the wampserver, how do I access the wamp manager?
Yep, the icon is there an d orange, how do I check which service isn't running? I can acces mysql via mysql workbench, but how can I check if apache is started (and if it isn't, where do I start it?)
The log errors beign reported are: The Apache service named reported the following error: >>> (OS 10013)An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. : make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80
The Apache service named reported the following error: >>> no listening sockets available, shutting down .
The Apache service named reported the following error: >>> Unable to open logs .
The wampapache service terminated with service-specific error Incorrect function..
Q2: Put your cursor over the W icon in system tray, left click will open up a menu.
Q1: wampmanager->apache->service->test port 80 ... what does this say.
Obvoius candidates for grabbing port 80 are 1. SKYPE. Change config : tools -> options -> advanced -> connection ... uncheck the 'Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives ....'
