WampServer

My problem is that I am trying to install a PHP forum and cannot connect to the data base. I have set all permissions, etc and disabled firewall. I am running windows 2000.

This same program worked numerous times in the past and I have installed it on two other computers.

Is there a security program in windows that is not allowing me to connect to the database? I am offline and using it strictly on my hard drive.

I have similar problem. Wam5 v 1.6.0 working OK but server don't responder. I can't do reformat disk and i must waiting for solve form here. I add that older wersion wamp wored OK. In thet net i found that this problem is after installing new wamp with apache series 2. Uninstall wamp and install other packages or manual install Apache+php+mysql don't change sytuation (I check this). Help

I unistall v 1.6.0 and install again v 1.5.0. from sf.net and again work!
