WampServer

1 - Windows version used - 64 bit)
2 - Version WampServer - 32 bit)
3 - Apache Version - 2.4.9
4 - PHP Version - 5.5.12
5 - MySQL Version - 5.6.17
6 - What color is - GREEN

I renamed C:\wamp directories to C:\wampold.
Installed Wamp 2.5 and can get localhost and run myPhpAdmin.
When I went to import my backup I found that I hadn't been backing up the data for couple of months :-)
If I use the last BK I'll restore on DB structure, no data.
And yes all my DBs are InnoDB.

Question is can I recover my data from the ibdata1?

Hi,

At least once, read the entire message here: Installing a new release of WAMPServer then apply from If it all goes horribly wrong to be able to revive your old version of WampServer and thus be able to make a backup of your database into a SQL file.

You should be able to copy

oldwamp\bin\mysql\mysql{OLD_version} folder to \wamp\bin\mysql\mysql{OLD_version}

Then restart WAMPServer and switch to the old version of MySQL.

Do a backup while running that version

Switch to the new MySQL version and do a restore
