PHP 5.3.0 does not parse PHP on Windows 7

Hi,
I just installed WampServer on my Windows 7 machine.
I run into a parse error when I try to use a PHP5 OO method like: public function myfunction(){}
When I remove the 'public' part, no problems.
It seems to me the code gets parsed by PHP4?
