mysql extension PHP problem

Hello everyone,

First of all: WAMP is pretty good and in my opinion it's better than XAMPP. Anyways, I'm having a problem.

The PHP-extension 'mysql' doesn't load for some reason. It's already marked in WAMP and I also checked the php.ini, it's uncommented.

But it still doesn't work.

Maybe because I had some installation of those servers in the past? I had all components (MySQL server, PHP, Apache etc.) installed standalone. It worked everything except cUrl and I didn't know how to fix it. Then I decided to switch my whole server to WAMP. I uninstalled all standalone versions of Apache, PHP etc. and also uninstalled XAMPP what I had before. Maybe some fragments left that block WAMP? I don't know.

Please help me, I'm getting really frustrated...

Btw. my system is Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.

The only my.ini file I can find is the one inside the WAMP folder...
