WampServer

Hi,

I have just installed Wamp Server (accepted default location, config, etc). I've never had Wamp on the computer before (it's about 8 months old and runs Windows XP professional).

Everything went ok (no errors or problems).

However, whenever I try to access either PHP admin or the localhost "default" test web page I get a blank page with just the following error

"0026Unrecognised Command".

I have a fully white semi-circle and can access the MySQL console without a problem.

I just can't seem to access either phpMyAdmin or localhost.

The error logs are also blank.

Any ideas ?

i can only suggest two things


download again and reinstall (uninstall previous)

or it may have something to do with microsoft IIS.

Many thanks for the suggestions mate.

Had already tried uninstalling/re-installing again, but without success.

However, I'll check out microsoft IIS just in case.

My of my IT mates suggested that it was something to do with a pathname i.e. Wamp Server was looking for a piece of system software that was either missing or in the wrong folder. However, as he was not familiar with Wamp Server he couldn't advise further.

when u reinstalled did u download again?

if something is wrong with the installer file then it will just keep happening from the same file..

I unistalled and re-installed it again using a different source server, but am still getting the same error.

I'm sure that it is something very simple, but for the life of me I can think what it is mate.
