Hello friends, I want to uninstall wamp 2.0, to install 2.0i.
I have installed it on 2.0 and does not work.
The question is:
I just delete the file "wamp" or I do more things to uninstall version 2.0.
Thanks.

It should be an item in install/unstall programs.
But configuration files, databases, aliases, etc. are still in wamp folder.
If you already saved it, you can delete the folder to install a new one.

hello sir.

my friend uninstalled my wampserver. i freaked out knowing that my databases are all gone. i saw your post above and just want to ask, "how can i recover my databases after the uninstall?".

if i install another wampserver, can i recover my previous databases?

i hope you won't mind sir. thank you for reply.

to be perfectly safe you shud have exported your databases before you uninstalled wamp.. so you would have .sql files

you will need to install mysql of some kind.. and use mysqldump to export them

if you install wamp again see if the databases show up in phpmyadmin.. sometimes they will show up but not accessible due to users being deleted

BUT BEFORE YOU DO ANY OF THIS COPY WHATS LEFT OF THE WAMP FOLDER AND MAKE SURE YOU KEEP A SECOND COPY OF IT.. as reinstallaing wamp over it maybe delete dbs like users... and other standard mysql dbs
