new to wamp and all this stuff

I just installed wamp, but when I try to open phpmyadmin I get a blank screen.

I am a newbie ... do I need to have a web host to open this?

I have tried installing twice, but the same thing has happened both times.

nevermind, the problem was that I had skype open.
