Wamp Server Problem

Hi,

I recently installed Wamp on my laptop which is running Windows 7 and cannot open localhost in my browser.

I urgently need help with this problem.

Check that wamp icon is fully white.
Check that hots file (windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts without extension) contains only this line (comment exluded) :
127.0.0.1 localhost
Copy the file the desktop before modifying it and paste it again in the etc folder.

Not sure if it is the right place in Seven, but it should be...

This may sound like a silly question, but are you putting the http protocol in?

[localhost]
