WordPress

Error: PHP is not running

WordPress requires that your web server is running PHP. Your server does not have PHP installed, or PHP is turned off.

I am on day 3 installing wordpress (famous 5 minute install; I think not!) and this is where i am at Ive googled this error... I do have WAMP installed 2.2 it is green and i can access my phpMyAdmin I am using windows 7 home premium sp1

should i have something in my enviroment variables; path for php? I had tried to install php manually, and according to one document I did add two things, but wamp php would not work until after i removed them. Im wondering if i should've left one setting

WAMPServer, I assume you have actually installed WAMPServer specifically, comes with APache/PHP and MySQL.

If the W icon is green then Apache and therfore PHP is running.

The Wordpress "famous 5 min install" usually takes about 2 minutes to run when you know what you are doing. So something is wrong somewhere on your system.

Did you install PHP from an .msi install? If so thats probably the issue as that will add all sorts of unecessary guff to various parts of your system.

Please describe what you installed and in what order.

Read The Manuals Apache -- MySQL -- PHP -- phpMyAdmin
Get your Apache/MySQL/mariaDB/PHP ADDONs here from the WAMPServer alternate Repo
