WAMP not working in Internet Explorer 6

I am using WAMP5. Right now Firefox is my default browser. When I try to open my site in Internet Explorer it doesn't work. Interestingly when I am connected to internet IE works fine and open my local website.

Can you please tell me how can I make internet explorer to work with wamp5. Do I need to change some settings.

Hi,

Apache does not care what content it serves. If your problem is not caused by some cross browser incompatibilities in the source code of the web pages, your IE may have a plugin which requires a connection to the internet. It could even be spyware.

Noop I dont think so spyware is the issue. Because IE gives the error "Server not found" like apache is not present on my system at all.

what exactly are u typing into ie?

ie needs http:// to get localhost



try
http:// 127.0.0.1 too

Well I tried 127.0.0.1. It opens all local websites except my blog (located in blog directory). Its kind a weired because the same opens in firefox.

Currently there are following folders in my server's directory.

blog/
drav/
joomla/
mag/
shop/
site/
taj/

Each folder contains a fully develped website. All function properly except blog (I checked it index file is present in that directory).

Can you please give me any idea how to fix it.

I put index.html file in my blog folder and enter this address in this IE (http://127.0.0.1/blog/) it successfully opened that file. But when I replaced index.html with index.php IE started to show the usual error "Server not Found".

Do you think i should reinstall WAMP.

Not sure which app you used for blog but wordpress use mod-rewrite and you will get error if using different url from url used to install it
