First of all I would like to thank you.
I made all required changes suggested but still my problem is same. As suggested in this forum to modify 'config.inc.php', if I put this code $cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'config'; phpMyAdmin failed to connect and through error #2002 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
If I make $cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'cookie'; login page appears but when I input user=root and password=[no password], it through error #2002 Cannot log in to the MySQL server.

So after making all required changes suggested in the provided url/forum, my problem is still remain.
I also check each and every discussion and tried to follow if seems logical, but problem remain same.

Some more input required if possible.

It sounds like you have another MySQL server running.

Look at Windows Event Viewer, WAMP's version of MySQL is called 'wampmysql'. If you see one called MYSQL and it is 'started' then you have another mysql running and that is what is being logged onto and that probably has a password on the root userid.
