WampServer

Rather than starting the wampserver each time I would like the apache service and mysql service to start automatically. Just for status it would be nice if the wampservice were started automatically. Is there a way to configure this to happen?

right click on the wampmanager.exe
send to desktop
right click on this shortcut and choose cut.
go to start
all programs
right click on startup and choose open
right click in some space and paste

now every time you boot up wamp server should start.

The correct solution is to change the properties of the apache and mysql services to make them start automatically.


Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

Find the service called 'wampapache'
Right click -> Properties
Change 'Startup Type' to 'Automatic'

Find the service called 'wampmysql'
Right click -> Properties
Change 'Startup Type' to 'Automatic'


They will now start at boot time.


If you so desire you can also set the 'Recovery' options from the 'Recovery' tab of the properties window.
This will allow you to tell both services to automatically restart if either of them crash for any reason, if thats what you want.

I tried this but it didn't result in the green 'W' to give me an indication that it was working. If you don't need this indicator what you suggest seems to work. Thank you.

Well if you are after belt and braces and a piece of string for emergencies, then you have to set the services to Automatic and then also add the WAMPManager to the Startup group.

Just drag and drop the 'start WampServer' icon from the Wampserver folder to the 'startup' folder on your start menu.

WampManager will then indicate GREEN when it starts because the 2 services should already have been started.
