WampServer

Hi Everybody,

My icon is also orange.

I have unchecked Skype ( tools->options->advanced->connection


My headache is that if I select phpMyAdmin from the browser/wampserver I will receive the following error:

#2002 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured).

ummmm, what's next?

If the wampmanager icon is Orange then one of either Apache or MySQL services has not started.

How to find out which one:
left click the wamp manager icon -> Apache -> Service
( If the Start Resume Service menu item is Green then Apache has not started )

left click the wamp manager icon -> MySQL -> Service
( If the Start Resume Service menu item is Green then Apache has not started )


Now look for errors in the appropriate error log ( use the wamp manager menus to view the error logs )

If these do not exists then also check the Windows Event Viewer
Start -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer
And look in the 'Windows Logs' -> Application' section accessed from the menu on the left of the dialog.


If the solution is not obvious, post the errors here.
